I've installed the driver -- no errors -- but WHATEVER I do I'm always getting the NV driver -- I can tell that because I get no NVIDIA logo and the driver is always nv in the configuration file.
(SUSE 9 with nvidia G0 5600 card and VAIO PCG GRT816S 16.5 Onyx black TFT screen (1400 x 1050). X-server starts fine -- but screen gets garbled whenever I come out of X into non graphical mode or shut down the system. I can restart X server -- then screen is OK again. How do I REALLY GET RID of the old NV module and FORCE the new one to be used. Thanks |

Like it says in the SuSE readme, sax2 -m 0=nvidia
