Default problem running ut 2003

whenever i try to run ut2k3 i get this error,

Xlib: Extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: Extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Couldnt set video mode: Couldnt find matching GLX visual


i have tried updateing the driver but that didnt seem to work, any advice?

Seems the nvidia installer has not install the GLX, it's a common issue so try a reinstaller of the driver or get the 4620 driver HERE which useally loads the GLX better.

Chances are Load "glx" isn't in the XF86Config or it's hashed out, make sure it exists and is not hashed.

Note: The Load "glx" line is under Section "Module" close to the beginning of the file.

i looked in the x86conig and this is what i have, it seems normal(for just this section of course )

Section "Module"
Load "dbe"
Load "extmod"
Load "fbdevhw"
Load "glx"
Load "record"
Load "freetype"
Load "type1"
Load "dri"
EndSection


i think i will try one of those downloads that SuLinUX posted, but i forogt how to turn off the xserver dektop thing and boot in a terminal..... i know i feel stupid i just forget these thing last time i used linux was 2 years ago, i just deiced to give up windows altogather so...after i get ut 2003 working then ill work with wine for war 3


PS- i am running fedora, i dont know if i said that earlier though.

You will have to remove load "dri" but you could read that in the readme too.

You have "nvidia" set as your driver and not "nv" I hope.

You can also try to run the nvidia driver installer with --opengl-headers.

where is the option "--opengl-headers" for?
