Default GeForce FX 5900XT

I recently purchased a Geforce FX5900XT, however, instead of better performance I am getting worse performance. I'm assuming this is because the nvidia drivers (I'm using 5336) only have basic support for this card apparently. I'm just curious as to whether this is the case.

I thought nVidia's XT models were second class cards, so yeah lower performance.

i've got a 5900 (non xt) and my performance is good. do u use the agp mode of the nvidia drivers? if so, try to use the kernel drivers and turn off the nvidia agp in your xfree cfg. this may help.

lmao, I forgot to plug in a power plug into the card... didnt have to do that with my last card. Still getting pretty weak ut2004demo performance tho. But that's probably because of my processor (1800+)... UT seems pretty dependent on the CPU
