Yeah, now that I have won an actual copy of the game which should be here tomorrow I might actually be able to play with everyone. Thursday nights are always the best for me - got the wife tied up in front of the TV watching her shows.

I'd be willing to submit a small sum towards purchasing a server. Only thing is that I might not get much out of it - being up here in the middle 'o noowhere makes it hard to get good ping times to servers to far off. I'd hate to be stuck with 100+ms pings and end up being nothing but a glorified slow-mo target.

It might only cost us 4 or 5 bucks each per month, even less if we have plenty of peeps

Ok lets get this started

NVNews UT2004 Clan
  • jAKUp
  • GlowStick
  • Saturnataku
  • Muya
  • Reaper106
  • Riptide
  • |JuiceZ|

With everyone paying a small amount each month, we can easily rent a server, preferably centralized area of the US.

There's several clan sites are now opening UT2004 ladders so all we really need to do is get a server, get registered and schedule a couple days out of the week for practices. Its been a couple months since I last played in my old UT2k3 IG clan so I'm anxious to start playing regularly again.

If it's only going to be $10 a month or less I have no problem with it at all, though I can only play mainly on Saturdays and Thursdays. Darn wives just love to chew up time.

Cool, I can play pretty much any time after 5PM MT time. Dang wives, I know what you are saying.

If it is possible. Could a mod put a small news post on the main page to inform members?

My schedule with work, family and gf time tends to vary. Best bet for me would probably be Monday nights after 8 p.m. Central. I can work out other times if we have a match or something on the weekend. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights typically are pretty bad for me, though if we're playing after 9 p.m. Central Tuesdays I can swing that.

I think we need to set up some sort of meeting on the nV News IRC channel, get all interested parties together to set up practice schedules and so forth.

Of course, first we need a server and I'd be willing to chip in a few bucks a month (less than $10) to the cause.

Now to talk to me roommate about us switching ISPs so we can get cable and I can have my own router/dedicated connection.......
