Thumbs down MSI FX5600 on Mandrake 10.0 inoperative!

Ive been trying to get my new video card up for a week. Hopefully someone can help.
Ive insatlled the Nvidia driver 1.0-5336 and tried to adjust the FX86Config-4, modules.devfs, and modules.conf files. I keep getting lockup or unable to start X and have to edit the file to use the Vessa driver so I can get back into runtime 5. I have a Isus P4S8X mobo with an intel P4 2.26/533 and a GForce FX5600 from MSI and am running the 2.6 kernel. Thanks.

Of corse adjust the options to not invoke twin view and change the res to your omnitor settings.

after you install the video driver do not edit any thing but the XF86Config-4 file. If you edit the modules.devfs, and modules.conf you will have problems.
also it is beter to run the drake X config and select the closest vid card IE Geforce FX (Generic) and the monitor so you get a clean XF86Config-4. then switch to runlevel 3 run the driver install script and only edit the part of the config file for the nv -> nvidia.

hopes this helped. Warning Large PIC. 1.2MB

hey, thanks alot. That got the card working. Unreal 2004 looks great, but colors look funny in Xine and Tuxracer quit working. Got any other ideas?

Dont know about TXRCR I bought the full game and use it. I get 50+ FPS at full screen though. Did you see the screen shot?

No, The Tuxracer just crashes. Its not the only one either. Tux worked before, but now that the Nvidia driver seems to be working it just launches to a black screen and bounces back to the desktop. I have edited the module files because Ive seen it posted elsewhere to do so, and I did that before you were good enough to show me "NvAGP""1"!!! Maby Ill go change them all back and see what happens.
