That sounds about right... AA and AF are very hardware intensive. Your fps sound fine.

Unreal engine pushes everything, so you may have a great videocard, but what cpu are you running? and how much ram? They also have a big effect, with any game that uses the Unreal engine.

The Unreal engine is very CPU intensive. The faster the processor you have, the better then engine and your video card will scale with it. At the game/graphics settings you're running, your performance is about right. Drop your AA and AF down to 2x a piece and your performance should go up noticably. Did you also make sure to turn vsync off both in the game .ini file and in your control panel?

On this crap monitor at home I can run the game @ 10x7 w/6x AA and 16x AF at extremely playable rates. The rest of my specs are in the sig.

It's both CPU & Video card intensive, however with a XP2000+ it's your CPU. Turn off shadows or turn them into blobs and set low for rag doll effects. Turn down player details also.

With UT 2004 demo i saw very improvement in turning down World detail. None with physics (ragdoll?) though but this is demo.

argh i thought the T&L would offload enough so i didnt have to turn down world detail.

using all the details at VERY HIGH is gonna cut down on your fps a lot too. Try HIGH instead, and try setting the "physics" to normal or low, because physics does not have any impact on visual experience, but it does eat up more CPU resources.
