Yep. And the rumor is nVidia dissed them with the 5800U and used another company's fan set up and pissed Abit off.

I can verify that the OTES (dustbuster) type fan on the ABIT 5800 is very quiet.
LOL- nVidia probably regrets that one to this day, although, to be fair, the ABIT solution looks like it costs a lot comparatively.

Try it with no molex power and then molex power straight from the PSU, not with any other devices on the chain ...any better ?

This is a dead issue, I threw the thing away and am acquiring a 5800 Ultra.

BTW I did do straight from the PSU on an Antec 350 and an Antec 430, I tried no molex as well when all else had failed.

I was sick of dealing with the 5800 after having tried it in two boxes multiple times and even replacing the psu in one box. When my wife started an argument with me about ordering another 5800 before this one was a "done deal", I threw it away and said it's a done deal.

did I tell yall bout he damn resolve of this mofo? Holy jeezus, he takes one in teh nuts on a goddang nv30 no less, and he sucks that dang gut up and orders his self ANOTHER one o them nv30's!!!

The cooling setup is damaged by me stepping on it, but the core and rest of the board are fine. LOL save it from it's restful slumber in my trash.
