Arrow FS: PNY 5800 ultra.

Hey dudes. I originally had this card sold to ragejg many moons ago. We lost contact and I decided to keep it. I moved to a shuttle and this bastard doesn't fit in one. My replacement card, a 9800np bit the dust after I ripped an entire ram chip off of it, Not good with epoxy and ram sinks Anyway, I yet again, have to sell this 5800ultra. I'm running it right now in my shuttle with the Backplate off and the cover off my shuttle. Needless to say, this isn't a smart way to run a card. I'm asking $220 shipped for it. It overclocks to retardedly high speeds, I'm talking 560+ core 1.2ghz on ram. I attached a 60mm low profile fan to the back of the card for better temps and such. No more text, here's some pics:

Thanks.

I just got a PNY 5800 Pro. So far I've noticed:
It's a little slower at UT2004. 10X7 4X8X 60s-70s instead of 70s-80s I got with 9800 Pro.
Not as noisey as I expected.
Noticeably worse at Far Cry, oh well, didn't buy it for DX9 games.

The Far Cry **** is a huge bug with all of the FX series. Nothing can run the game remotely decent. Hopefully our german friends will fix that.

Rage, the 9700 isn't really what I'm looking for.

This card roxorz boxorz and is well worth $220.. I would have bought it for that in a heartbeat before I got mine.

Let the big dog out, buy him from Waltar and let him come down out of the tall weeds to your box.

Rage I am amazed you are not all over this.

BTW Waltar, how did you mount that fan on back?

well, Walter did at one point want cash (this was like 3 months ago), then he was lookin to trade, maybe for a 9700/9800... this time it appears that he wants cash, as he's not interested in my 9700 which I'd like to maybe trade for a 5800...

So, $220? Is that how much he's asking?

Rage, if you're running your 9700 at Pro speeds you won't be able to tell the difference in performance, but the 5800 U is a lot cooler card than a 9700NP.
nVidia's "Harley Davidson of video cards" pretty much hits it on the head.

A buddy of mine also has a 5800U. It's a low profile 60mm fan screwed directly onto the backplate. The temps seriously dropped 5C. Helped me oc the ram alot higher..

I had a large cpu fan to spare, so I mounted that on it with 2 screws.
