I have an Athlon XP 2000 and a MSI KT3 motherboard.
I just updated the Mobo's bios and now it keeps on saying that Im using an anthlon xp 1900. I already have it running at 1.79ghz. the new bios is suppose to fix some things up and to support higher athlon xp models. one more question. i have a 256mb kingmax ddr 400 and i cant seem to make it run at 2 instead of 2.5. |

At default values.....it comes back as a 1900+? Have you tried unlocking the CPU?....are you running a non-default multiplier? The reason I ask is sometimes people don't fully unlock the CPU and they think they're running a particular multiplier...In reality, the motherboard defaults to another multiplier and a different speed is reached... Its a long shot.....but who knows.... Good luck! ![]() |

I have the same board and the latest bios, and yes the new bios posts what your CPU as it is, not what its overclocked to. If you go to system properties under Windows XP it will say the samething, only it will show what the cpu is running at 1900+ @ 1.79 for eg.

Might be stupid to say but does your FSB say 133MHz ? First time I turned my box it was set at 100.
