Sacred US Full Violence Patch HOT !!

For those who play Sacred in US , knows that devs totaly removed gore/blood/violence , sometimes i realy hate US law but oh well..

Anyway devs accidently released 1.5 patch who enable blood after install only need to change in settings.cfg "VIOLENCE : 1" from default (2) this woun't work without one thing

Now the trick is devs already know about they mistake and quietly rereleased patch sacred_enu_1.5.exe ( size 8'072'044 date 04/02/2004 no gore patch)

Here it is hot patch with gore capability get it while its hot

Thank god i noticed it game is so mutch nicer with all effects , lucky germans get full

I mean whats the deal with US laws extra red pixels and it gets banned

Isn't it typical that Germany gets no gore?

Anyway, I liked the demo except for the fact that I just got a new LCD with a 1600x1200 native resolution and the demo only goes up to 1024x768. If it went up higher, I'd buy the game in a second.

There's no law in the US that prohibits such displays in games. It's those krazy krauts that have those restrictions. The Sacred devs were probably afraid of the so-called activists who want to see that kind of stuff taken out of video games. After all, we know good and well they're the number one cause of violent behavior among kids.

Yeah that argument always cracks me up. Kids have always seen violence throughout history and (boys especially) imitate it. Anyone ever watch an old western movie? How about even the old Loony Tunes?

I have two boys and neither of them have ever seen so much as a gun in today's cartoons. Heck, when I was a kid guns were in every cartoon. I played G.I. Joe, ran around in the woods with homemade boys/arrows, bb guns, played all the Dooms, Quakes, RPGs, etc, etc but I never went postal (and don't ever intend to). Hmm...maybe that had something to do with the fact that my parents actually were parents to me and my father educated about firearms at an early age. I get so sick of our society constantly looking for a scapegoat...nobody wants to own up to anything anymore.

Sorry for the rant.

Yeah that is a problem i got LCD native 1280x1024 sitting next to my 19"Crt collecting dust

games with fixed resolution arn't the only problem new games shader intense also limit high res , any higher then 1024x768 and it gets sloooow..
Maybe in the future we will get option like on Mac lets you fit any res on native highres LCD without loss of quality

yes, that's so true. just the other day, i saw a group of kids beat up an old lady, steal a car, and trying to hunt down a group of Haitians to run over, a-la-Vice City.

Gore in the US version of Sacred was removed because Encore (their publisher for the North American version) wanted a Teen rating. The UK/German versions have full gore, and it's worth mentioning that the UK version is available to import for a few dollars more than the US version.

Also, the workaround you have posted has been fixed evidently, and you can't expect that it will work after newer patches.

You can always try www.gogamer.com for an import.

Already got US version so not worth paying for UK to get gore..... don't intend to play online it doesn't even work if you got router , just for single player action this early 1.5 patch does it nicely with gore

BTW thats a nice site they got alot of imports , EBgames got none those bastards.

I just picked the full game up yesterday. I've played for a while as a vampire. I'm kinda considering switching to a different class. But, they all seem pretty cool somce they are all pretty much warrior/mage classes to some extent. I usually play mage classes. So, the Seraphim and the Battle Mage look pretty good to me too.

Thanks for the info! It works great. I had already patched with the newer version and it installed flawlessly right over top.
Now I just wish they would slow down the respawn rate from almost instantly to a day or so. It's impossible to ever clear out an area.

Its close, with the latest drivers, if Cleartype is not enabled on lower res's.

I just got this game and I love it! It brings back so many awesmoe Diablo 2 memories...ah...those were the days.

I'm playing wood elf and I think i'm level 5 and apart from not being able to change the resolution or the keyboard layout (is there a quicksave/load in the game?) and no gore, this game rocks.

Out of the box it was pretty buggy...it crashed like 6 or 7 times and had a lot of weird graphical glitches, but after the 1.66 patch, it's wonderful. What a great hack 'n slash adventure!
