Default SuSE 9.0 Inspiron 8600 nVidia Fx Go52oo

video card: nVidia Fx Go5200
driver version: 5336
distribution: SuSE Linux 9.0
processor: Intel M 1.4 GHz, Centrino system
system: Dell Inspiron 8600, laptop

check attached log files for more info!

---------------------------------------

I am having following problems:

1. When logging out/leaving X, the screen goes fuzzy, and it's impossible to read anything.
I have downloaded 5336 driver and recompiled it, no help.

2. I am unable to detect 3D accelleration when re-installing nVidia 5336 driver.

3. I am unable to run larger screen resoluton than 1152x864, without crashing X, with 2 cm black field from left and right side of the screen.

How to solve these problems ?

Thnx in advance.

I have edited XF86Config and under "Device" changed "nv" to "nvidia" which solved the problem with fuzzy screen / horisontal lines when leaving X.

Empty Black space also dissapeared from the left and right of the screen, now display is fully covered with desktop.

But another problem arised,

- Whatever resolution I choose, display looks blury and streched on my 15" Widescreen.

How can I avoid this ?

In the BIOS, turn off image scaling, so the machine doesn't distort your image to fill the screen when it's not the right size.
