I still go with the DNF will be released before HL2 theory, or maybe TF2..

Heh,

Not interested anymore. Seriously, I have enough games now and coming down the pike that I no longer care.

Anyone that saw the non CPU bound benches of the NV40 when using dx9 and PS2.0 knows Nvidia doesn't have a thing to worry about in that game.

What game is it that Xbit labs was benching with the NV40 that is "the next highly anticipated game"? Doom III or half life II? In any case, I wouldn't sweat it.

The first highly anticipated game wa HL2, the second was Stalker.

Anyone who has tried the doom3 alpha knows fps allways drops to 0 no matter what video card you got heh.

Is HL2 using vertex shaders and will it be less CPU bound then UT 2004?

Well, in heavy physics sitaution, it will be CPU bound just like all the rest of the games useing the Havok physics engine.

But id also like to point out that the Media frenzy continues,

First, witch i feel may be a haox is people are claiming HL2 is now 'GrandMaster Status' witch is a madeup industry word......

But more intrestingly is Valve 'leaked' on halflife2.net forum boards that they will be releaseing the HL2 Benchmark after E3......

We've herd that before : )
