Default Switched Nvidia Cards, Now Video Blank, SuSE 8.2

Using SuSE 8.2
Was using a GeForce2 MX 400 card with driver 1.0-5328.
Swaped card for a GeForce FX 5200. Now when booting
into SuSE after the OS selection (GRUB) screen the display
goes blank and never shows Linux. Anyone seen this or
know what to do to correct the behavior.
Thanks,
Terry

You mean drops you at the console login screen, if so that you need to reinstall the nvidia driver.

When booting, menu selection is visible in the GRUB menu. Once I select
the "linux" the computer would normally display a screen showing boot
progress and one could press F2 to see the details. Well, I never see
this screen, the screen is black (or blank).

Will try that later. Found out I may need to set vga=normal during boot.
