Opps, my fault, not sure about redhat 7.2 and never configured the nvidia driver with RH, you can get the XF86Config to use the nvagp=1 so read the nvidia readme.

Please read this. It might help. I havent yet solved my problem and am looking for someone's feedback.

I think from reading this link that I may have to install the 31.23 version of the driver.

Is there anywhere I can get it???

Hi,

I have experienced the same problems with Mdk9.1, a GF4 TI4600 and any of the latest drivers. The solution was setting the NvAGP option to "2" as suggested in the readme file (well, actually 3 is mentioned as "default" mode, which tries mode "2" first and the mode "1").

Can you please post the following:

* the output of 'lsmod' (run as root)
* your Xserver log (probably /var/log/XFree86.0.log or something similar)
* the relevant part of /var/log/messages (or whatever your syslog tells you),
that is, around the time the most recent lockup occurred

Cheers,
Buddy
