Default nvidia driver and Video Tv-Out

Hi I have a Sparkle 7300M4 PCI graphics card with GeForce4 MX440.

I install linux driver, config XF86config with nvidia driver and then work fine Tv-out. But I would like that when playing videos with xine or mPlayer or another player, that Tv-out only out video, not the desktop.

Is similar that in WinXP Tv-out out Desktop (Clone), but when playing videos tv-out only out video. Tv display video at Fullscreen, while CRT/TFT monitor display desktop, with a window with a video player.

How can I get it?

Thanks

Default Re: nvidia driver and Video Tv-Out

Showing video only on the tv like in windows using clone mode is not possible. On windows some hack is being used for this I think. The options you have on linux are:
- seperate X screen (desktop) for each output
- use an extended desktop (tell xine/mplayer to use xinerama, then it can figure out the physical resolution of the tv ..)
