In actual gameplay you would never be able to tell the two apart, so I vote that they are both awesome.

The top one appears a bit smoother on the bottom and front of the wing.

nsh!itia cant make a superior overall product, they are famous for getting 100fps in one game and 25fps in the next,..its so bad that they have to delay games forever just so they will run acceptible on the share of the market that owns nsh!tia cards..its pathetic they rely soley on their software,.which is good ill admit,...but their hardware is crap,...and they will brag to the core about the 6800 and ati stays quiet and months before the 6800 ati just throws the x800 on the market,...and then sits and smiles,so nv is now crying [snip] and ati is not sitting on old technology,...list more than 5 games that fully use pixel shader 2.0,exactly,nv is just using ps3.0 as a gimmick because the fx line cant even pixel shade my a$$!!!,[snip] not time for that yet,..and ati knows it..like when sega rushed the dreamcast on the n64-playstation1 .goodnight and sleep forever nsh!tia

I echo Ruined...but IMO top is better at 200 and 400% I don't sit that close to my monitor though or play with microscopes strapped to my head.

Top one is smoother to my eyes, it looks maybe a little less detailed but it looked smoother and nicer, and smooth and good looking is what I consider to be the best

I agree with some of the others that in a real world, non-zoomed situation, the differences between these two pictures would be negligable at best.

I agree with CMav, look at the 200% and 400% pics, their respective shader pixels outline more, fading out more gradual. Also, the crease along the wing is more defined, and smoother.

I like it on the bottom!

I'll take her on top. I do mean the pic by the way. But I guess it applies in either situtation.

At first I liked the top, but concentrating on the 100% pic I ended up prefering the bottom.

I think the top edge on one looks better and the bottom wing on the other looks better, this in conjunction with the differing choices by other readers seems to indicate smoothness is in the eye of the beholder and it is indeed as ruined said in practice a dead heat .

If it is Ati v nv40 then I would say AA from nv40 is now not less than Ati ( although r420 might push the game on further ), whereas before nv 3x was a lot worse and I had to read 5000 posts on it from some sources .

Regards

Andy
