Today, I attempted to upgrade my kernel into 2.4.26-1-686 ( last was 2.4.25-1-686 ) and I've got my X crashed right away.
I think the driver NVidia-kernel-2.4.25 is all about.... Since Nvidia driver only want to be worked under Linux kernel that match its kernel.... I wonder is there the NVidia kernel for 2.4.26 already ? Or some people has found some nice tricks to get it work ? cheers, welly |

You must reinstall the driver when changing the kernel... (or compile the new kernel module separately without reinstalling the libraries). There is no change in the 2.4.26 kernel that I am aware of to make the driver stop working (I have not compiled and installed it on a 2.4.26 kernel however... I may be wrong).
If you did not yet reinstall the driver, run the installer script again and allow the installer to compile a new kernel interface for your new kernel. |
