It's not just that the flag has blue, it's what it doesn't have. The colors normally associated with the Islamic religion. Supposedly we came over here to "free" these people, not convert them. (trust me, converting them, would go over really poorly) As such there's no reason not to stay with the colors the people feel represent them best. Democracy remember?!

Losing sight of the goal (which moves daily) will only further soil our reputation in this neck of the woods.

I read the article actually and I fail to see the problem with having the colour blue.

israel is the only other country in the ME with blue in it's flag. The Arabs really aren't big on the israeli

As I've said many times to those who paid attention...

If israel cleans up it's act, or at least rids itself of adolph sharon, I'll have no problems with it. Of course the yahoo.. netanyahoo (sp?) who's waiting in the wings isn't any better....

When they decide they really want to sit down for peace talks again, I'll have no further problems with them. I don't blindly support anyone.
