Okay, this is really starting to irritate me.
A while ago I posted on here about GL games randomly crashing (approx 9-15 minutes into the game), after a while I lost interest in the thread because it miraciously went away. Now a few months later, randomly my computer begins crashing again. I always know when such an instance has occured because there is _always_ a white pixel in the upper left corner.. WTF is this?? Does anyone know any solution to this madness? I'm running Mandrake 10, with a Geforce 4 Ti4400 and NVIDIA 5541 (same crash occurs on NVIDIA 5536, with APIC turned on or off makes no difference, NvAGP being set to 0 is not an option due to that making the computer horribly slow) Included is my XF86Config-4 file. Someone please give me some relief to this madness |

can you reproduce the issue by running the xscreensaver ?
can you telnet in to the crashed machine from another machine ? if so run top is Xfree running at 95%+ CPU ? if so join the queue off people who have this problem, I avoid it but not running any fullscreen games or screen savers. |
