how hard is it to set up a pc to record stuff from tv directly to a dvd?

I'm pretty sure you'd have to record it with a TVR card (like my Winfast) and then manually write it to a dvd. I could be mistaken.

I dont think you can do it
when you write to a DVD you need a continous stream, you cant stop, and write again, stop and write. So you have to go though your hard drive first
