Since I installed Mandrake 10.0 (2.6.3), I'm having some trouble with my graphics. I have installed the drivers successfully (and someone helped me stop them from getting randomly corrupted occasionally at boot), but...with:
GeForce4 Ti-4200 1.0-5336 Video Bios: 04.25.00.30.16 Pentium 4 2.4GHz ...anything that uses OpenGL (screensavers, TuxRacer, etc., etc.) pauses briefly about every two seconds (literally). With one exception: Screensaver previews (run using the Test button in the KDE Desktop Config tool) run as smoothly as you please. What in the world is going on here? ![]() |

I had choppy gameplay in Quake 3. It went away when I compiled ATA support for my particular motherboard into the kernel. CD burning came right too.
