Some EB employees told me last August that HL2 was launching in November '03. It was confirmed.

I think Gabe Newell should just shut up about how well his game plays on a ATI card and consentrate on finishing it and letting us play it. That guy is being paid big money to hype ATI, yes it maybe faster but and so what if it is?

Thief Gone Gold, yet shipping May 25th?

Thats kinda like building an engine, saying your done, and you leaving the heads off.

I sure hope Thief will be 1000% better than Deus Ex, because I thought it was kinda jank.

If by cool you mean: smaller levels than the original, a dagger instead of a sword (guards with a sword kick the **** out of you if you're spotted), loading zones, no forward leaning, no old style cutscenes before each mission (rumour has it it's only going to be 5 of them in the whole game), a Splinter Cellish look and feel, automatic doors and blackjack (Garrett raises his blackjack by himself when he approaches a guard) and no editor then yeah, it's gonna be uber-cool. In fact, it's going to be in****ingcredible. No wonder it smells like a Deus Ex 2 experience to some people.
