I own a toshiba satellite 2415-s205. It has the NVIDIA GeForce4 420 card and a 15" display. I think I setup everything right, but the fonts look funny. I could be used to my desktop that has a better monitor and card. I just need a second opinion, and if it is wrong how can I fix it. It just doesn't look right...

Nothing wrong there really. You have anti-aliased fonts. There are different schemes for font-smoothing, but I not sure how you alter this in X. Also X seems to suck at rendering fonts at 1024x768.
