Problem with XtPopup on RedHat 9.0
We have a new machine with an Nvidia Quadro FX 1000 video card running Linux RedHat 9.0. We are then running an application that uses X calls for its windowing and OpenGL calls for the drawing.
The executable is working without any problems when using the default VGA driver that comes with redHat 9.0.
However, when we installed the Nvidia graphics drivers, the executable crashes on a call to XtPopup when it first tries to display the window. During this first run, a semaphore is created on the machine. Any subsequent launch of the application does not cause any problems as long as the semaphore is there. If we delete the semaphore, we get a first crash again and it then runs.
Have these drivers been tested with X calls like XtPopup or only with GLUT windowing calls?
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
