What determines a "win" "lose" or "draw"?
Is 1-5 fps difference considered a draw, or does is have to be <1fps difference to make a draw?

In most cases the graphics card that provides the highest frame rate across all resolutions is the winner. If card A beats card B at 1024x768, it usually ends up beating it at 1280x1024 and 1600x1200.

Results marked with a draw are subjective and occur for a variety of reasons. One example is with F1 Challenge in Anandtech's review:

With 4X AA and 8X AF, the X800 XT wins at 1280x1024 and the 6800 Ultra wins at 1600x1200. I made it easy on myself and called it a draw

Then there's the case where X-bit labs uses two different maps in UT2003 and card A wins in map 1 and card B wins in map 2.

Would be ATI as NV handle 1.1 PS better then 2.0 because they can them at low precsision.

i think that i have seen in indoors the Nv40 with higher frame rates..
but FArcy use few PS2.0. in indoors.. the most intesive use are outdoors ,but again they are PS2.0. Hl2 /Stalker will be good games to measure more intensive PS2.0 test.

Extreme will be really expensive and in really short supply. Ati could also release a X800XT Ultra-turbo, overclock them to 650MHz/1.4GHz, make 2000 of them and charge 700 bucks for each. Would that mean that Ati beats NV in performance?

Yes, Extreme might be the fastest vid-card there is, but considering how much it will cost, and how limited the supply is going to be, I think it's more or less irrelevant.

That's basically what ATI did with the X800XT. When the X800 Pro's performance lacked against the Nvidia 6800U, they announced the X800 XT (overclocked version). Then Nvidia countered with the 6800 Extreme --- pretty nice game of tick-tac-toe!

The 6800U Extreme does make a difference in the results, but only a few web sites had them.

FWIW, I was able to run a few benchmarks with the reference card at 430MHz last night, but I need to do more testing.

I think it was Dave from Beyond3D that said this, but X800XT samples were clocked as high as 525Mhz from the beginning and it wasn't until some days before launch that they decided to knock down the clock speed a bit. So they actually reduced the speeds from what they were.

That would be easy to do, if you guys can help me figure out which games are DX 7, 8, or 9 Some of the games have DX and OGL support too.
