its a free aplication that can see almost any format Divx/mpeg/ and many others.. but also can see unfinished movies or broken movies..like those from Kazza or Edonkey..

Dynamic realtime softshadows is the BIggest diference there.. it makes the game looks more realistic. pretty nice. realtime lighting in games is the future. the DM used there is virtual DM or paralax mapping.. its ok. but real DM like the one that VS3.0 only can do looks Far better because Geometry and polygons are literally displaced ,and can be use for many other cool things like realistic water motion. like the Nvidia demo of the pirate ship.

Nice video!! Thanks Guys!!!

The rocks look really cool from a bit of a ways off but look more flat when you got closer to them, still it looked decent.

I was most impressed with the shadows. This has always been kind of a sticky spot with ATI. Does anyone have any info or a link on the improved shadow capabilities of the NV40???

I'm also very curious if this demo could be run on PS2.0 as well or if only PS3.0 hardware can do it and then of course, the speed difference between the two.

After seeing this I'm definately holding off my purchasing decision until I've seen more of what Ps3.0 has to offer.

Why didn't they use True DM? Why use the lower model VDM?

The current MicroSoft roadmap places DX9.0C as a co-launch wiht sp2, however they may bump up the schedule because of sp2's "delays".

What Demo machines? All of the games I saw running on the Nv40 looked pretty sweet to me, framerates were awsome. Exept the one farcry machine, which Jakup tells me was running smooth when he played it. Where you even there? And once agian, you won't be defending lack of ps3.0 when Ati has it.
