hehehe That is kind of funny... I still read everyday about ATI's buggy drivers, and you must not remember when the 8500 was released.. Too this day Nividiots are all over that one.. Sure its deserved, I am just seeing that when the shoe is on the other foot its not so cool... But I digress, I am not a Nividiot or a FanATIc... I like computers and will buy the best card I can for the money.. Right now I am leaning X800pro, but I can't even buy the 6800 yet, so what choice do I have?

I need a whole new system before I can do that though.

I think it is a hematite beach. Even when they are not tumbled they're still relatively shiny.

Anything that you can see reflects light or you wouldn't see it. The color you perceive an object to be is really the color of light that an object reflects.

obviously i know how every object reflects light to obtaint is color. i meant specular, which is exactly what ps 3.0 is doing to those rocks. and while it may look neat its completely unrealisitc

that is NOT AT ALL what far cry is attempting to show.

the light properties of those rocks(in the video u gave us) are similar to tar reflecting the sun

Here's one beach...not hematite but those rocks are even shinier in the third photo.
