I think the argument is pointless at this time.
Wait until the farcry SM3.0 patch and official DX9.0c then make your judgement.

One last thing, SM3.0 is to increase performance, not the opposite, if use correctly.

Well, I do know the systems had Athlon 64's.. that is what was advertised on a sticker. As for the res... It was 10 something.. I wish I had looked closer.

And although the setting was at 1x af.. does that override control panel settings? I didnt have access to the Nvidia control panel, maybe it was set higher there?

As for the video, I just woke up

Im gonna work on getting that today

Hopefully the video came out ok

I think I figured it out. FarCry = HL2 for the ATi fanbois. They didn't have it before, and since FarCry is the only DX9 title out there....

u guys can beat the whole 3.0 thing to death but them screenies look friggin fantastic! I saw some other screenies of upcoming titles from e3 and man were about to see games in a whole new way and im diggin it! very exciting time for gamers! thanks for sharing Jakup!

Wow, nice screenies. So sm3 does offer visual improvement over 2.0. Or at least, it's fair to say, that the increased performance, allows developers to add move visual detail right? So in a way 3.0 does offer better iq, and from those screenies, it offers way move spectacular visuals than 2.0. However, The laggin issues probably has to do with early beta dx9c and beta forceware. Right?

Right now we have no facts. jakUp was just giving his opinion on how the game ran at the unknown settings. I find PS3.0 as a valid feature even if it is somewhat slow on the NV40. It's nice to see nVidia trying to push new technologies into the graphics industry.

I wonder how much coverage Far Cry will get when Doom III comes out - and all the games based on it ( me thinks SOF3 will kick Far Cry where it hurts

It's flavour of the month but in a short while it will be a backwater.
