I just upgraded to kernel 2.6.5 and of course needed to reinstall the nvidia driver. Here is my info from /proc:
Model: GeForce3 Ti 500 IRQ: 11 Video BIOS: 03.20.00.16.04 Card Type: AGP debian sid I have a pentium IV 1.7GHz processor My config and log files are attached. I did run the logverbose once but my problem seems to be because of KDM. I did startx -- -logverbose 5 and the system paints screens fast. If I log in through KDM, if I minimize windows, close them, play games, etc., the screen slowly paints from top to bottom. If I use the NVidia 4496 driver I dont have this problem, but now I am running 2.6.5 kernel I dont seem to be able to use that driver anymore. Any help would be appreciated. |
