I recently upgraded my motherboard & cpu and now I can't get AGP to work.
nv driver works fine, nvidia driver without agp support works fine. nvidia driver with either the kernel's agpgart or the internal driver gives me a blank screen, 99% of cpu usage by X, the system is still responsibe through ssh and the following shows up in the kernel log: Badness in pci_find_subsys at drivers/pci/search.c:167 (which from what I've seen is a symptom, not a problem) I've tried every driver I could find and kernels 2.6.6 and 2.6.5, same results every time. Also tried minion.de's patches. I've also tinkered with every BIOS option I could find to increase stability, every AGP aperture value, delays, disabling fast writes, and so on. From what I've seen VIA chipsets (in my case the KT400) are problematic, I've seen many problems, tried every possible solution I could find, no luck. Anyone has any ideas? Want to see XFree86 logs? kernel logs? configurations? |

How about a lspci -v to see what your hardware is.
You said you tried -- Option "NvAGP" "1"? |

And yes, as I said before, either using Nvidia's internal AGP driver or the kernel's agpgart gives the same results. |
