Default trouble with nvidia driver as user in fc2

hi all!

a special thanks to nvidia for doing a great job with drivers for linux.

i do have a epox mainboard with builting gforce4 card.

the driver works great with 2.6.6 kernel and 4k stuff turned off.

there is only one problem:
as root the windows of games works great, but as user it is so flicery the it's ipossible to read what in the game, this is only in the game window, not elsewhere.

the nvidia driver is 5336.
the /dev/nv* files are all 0666
the dri files in /etc/security/console.perms are 0666.

what is there to change to make the behavior good both as user and root?

sincerly morten
