Default Geforce2go and new drivers problem

I just bought a 2nd hand notebook (Acer Travelmate 630) which uses a Geforce2Go graphics card with 32MB. My problem is, that I am only able to use a very old nvidia driver provided by acer.

If I try to install a current version (5x.xx), after removing the old driver completely, the notebooks stays at standard vga mode. It seems that the new drivers do not detect the geforce2go chip.

Is this a known problem?
