Default TwinView with ASUSTECH 9520 (fx5200)

Suse Linux 9.1 pro.

Ok. I'm wanting to get the twinview working so I can have the same dual monitor set up like I have with my windows drive. LOL. Ok. I got the system configured. But it doesn't work. The lay out looks to be on the money but no dual screen. Hope someone can help me wiht this. Thanks

Using the latest nvidia driver from the web update while installing.

More info.

To get the setting in the xfconfig like they are. I had to go into yast2 and then configure graphics card. In video card, I had to add the video card twice to get a secound monitor to show and allow configuration of. Then in the monitor section I set up the gateway monitor and the viewsonic. The monitors are set up as gateway on 1:0:0 as primary monitor, The viewsonic is set up as viewsonic monitor on 1:0;:0 secondary. Then I set the res, and then went into multi monitor settings. Here is the rub. Multi monitor says it's avalable. But in the placements section it only shows 1 monitor. I get out of that and the server test works with 2 monitors with the same desk top but the mouse only works or even apears on the main monitor. The second monitor shows all the actioins that are being done on the first monitor but thats all it does. Thanks again for any help. Peace

Likely the multimonitor stuff from YAST isn't what you want. In short yast is a generic tool that works for different types of videocards. I think it allows you to configure the type of multimonitor in which your card is "cut into two". Next to this Nvidia's drivers prefer another multimonitor way called "twinview". This type can't be set up by yast.

Ok. I did a complete reload. Couldn't get old settings out for some reasons. So now I have a full reload and this time (outside of yast) I did all the config changes. Now I have The system settings correct(I think)
But I'm still getting the same displays (both screens duplicate, mouse only works on the main screen).

These are the new config settings
