Default changing XvMC overlay colour

Does anyone know how to (or if possible) to change the xvmc overlay colour ?
Currently mine is blue, and on tv-out, shows up partially around the video content and is quite ugly.

Is the colour set in the nvidia driver, or xvmc library, or actually in the program using it?

Or am I completely off track in what's causing this?

uhmm, you may want to try and adjust your monitor gamma levels in control center...

it's in peripherals > display > monitor gamma

in here you should be able to click on the gray scale and change it to RGB scale. this will enable you to adjust color settings.

good luck.. may not answer your question, but may solve your problem *shruggs*

What you want to adjust is not just the gamma. Useally mediaplayers should have options to change various overlay settings like contrast, brightness and some others. Xine for example has this option, using it you can fix the blue screen issue.

Further XvMC is not the same as Xv. Xv is used for hardware overlay support (scaling stuff) while XvMC is a special library for mpeg2 decoding but not all mediaplayers use it and it is disabled by default.
