Default Just wanna do it right

Hi Everyone

I have installed KNOPPIX 3.4 on my P4 - 2800 Mhz with Nvidia GeforceFX 5950 ultra.. and now i want to install nvidia driver to my Graphiccard, so i dl'ed the IA32 driver.. and then i have to write sh "and then where the NVIDIA driver is located" right? i've read the manual, but last time it would'nt boot up, it just hanged on the white screen with the NVIDIA logo.. so now i'l just take it step step..

And bear with me.. I'm not a guru.. i'm THE newb to linux

Well.. i've come to the conclusion that my problem is that i'm having problems setting up my XF86CONFIG.. anyone who can help me setting it up.? please.. i have a 19" monitor and it was able to run 100 hz in 1024x768 with powerstrip.. and 115 hz in 800x600.. and as before my graphiccard is 5950 ultra..

You have no idea how long i've been trying to get this to work.. can't sleep before this works..
