right now i am using the brand new 61.21 drivers from leadtek... The seem to have helped the farcry problem a tad.. it seems to run a little smoother now...

6800Ultra can't push Far Cry in FP32 as fast as X800 does having FP24...
I don't want to start flame here or something....

SP2 with DX9.0c is not going to be released by September. It's delayed.
I think X800XT purchase, or maybe even X800Pro is better deal. ATI has much more matured drivers, and r420 will get boost with the next two released.

UT2004, and OpenGL are not real teller about card performance...
Far Cry is the key game now...

me personally....i think hl2 and d3 are the key games. (unfortunately they are not out) but...because of their engines they will probally be used many times over in other games. look at quake 3, STILL being used today. i doubt we see a game based on the crytek engine anytime soon

opengl not a teller about cards performance? err ....wha? d3 anyone?

like Arioch said ...both cards will probally run great on both hl2 and d3. (unlike theif3 and far cry). and that WILL be a big factor for the future.

but lets not start a flame war or nothing about it

Once in safemode how did you remove them?

Sorry for the questions, this is the first forceware drivers that don't give me a add/remove option in the add/remove software part of the control panel.

I just went to add remove programs.. and it was there.. but if its not, you can always go into system/device manager, and manually remove from there.

Thanks. I didn't think of that.

The 61.12's seem ok, but i did have a crash of ut2004 once and a crash of 3dmarko3 once with them. I'm hoping its a driver issue and not an issue with my 6800 ue
