Hey jakUp, quick question. I don't know if anyone has asked you this yet, but if you could would you please run some tests in FarCry on the very first volcano level. This level just kills my oc'd 9800pro and would be curious to see how the 6800u or even the X800 pro handles this level. Thanks in advance. OOhh and before I forget, how does it feel to be the unofficial poster boy for NVIDIA. I'm sure there are many poeple watching your postings with great interest and making purcahsing decisions based on your findings since you have no ulterior motives. I am also still very steadfast in my decision in this round to stick with NVIDIA.It's also interesting to note that I hear the X800XT in the pci-e form also has the new power connector as seen on the ultra version.

Well I gotta head off to work, tonight I will do some TW2004 testing, as well as the volcano level from FarCry. I hope that my experiences with the card can help make some purchasing decisions. If I wasn't able to get the card this early, I really doubt I would have bought it. As I said, I had my eyes on the X800XT... but actually, after installing the latest 61.21 drivers from Leaktek, I am actually very impressed with it. The IQ is very nice, easily just as good, if not better, than my 9800 Pro.

Being the poster boy for nVidia? Thats a big title I really love new hardware, and if any of you can remember 1 year ago, I also had the 5800 Ultra. Back then I was more of an nVidia fanboy, but this year I'm looking at this card with unbiased eyes. And to my eyes, I like it. The 61.21 fixed my FarCry flashing shadows problems, and improved performance in some low fps areas.

Mavke from http://www.mvktech.net runs a website dedicated to nV as well as ATI bios's, asked me for my BIOS as well.. so.. if any of you guys want a 6800 Ultra bios.. well I have backup Not sure why any of you would want it.. but I have it

There are a few quirks here and there, but those are all likley driver issues. My experience with.. umm.. Dig Dug was very good and I have a few SS's of it.. just don't wanna post those here As you all know, the Dig Dug copy I had was in an alpha stage... hehe

So IOW, you don't regret buying it then?

Good news. Will you be getting an XT eventually to do some comparisons?

Thats to be determined... if the XT ends up being alot faster, and SM3.0 just fades away... yes I will probably end up with an x800XT eventually If not, then I think I will just stick with my 6800U for the time being

Did he tell you how many they had? Someone else claimed 50 total 18 sold as of earlier.

I hope this is the truth - this is how the Gateway X800XT thread conversations started.
