Jakup. Could you clear something up for me? By the way you are pretty famous and everyone is looking at you for what the 6800 ultra can do, but besides that how does the 6800 ultra perform with 6x aa on and 8 x af? Could you post a 3dmark score with them on and then a something on how it affects the FPS in games. I want to get a 6800 ultra but im one for the eye candy, could you please?

oh. Thanks for clearing that up. Do you know if the new x800;s have 8x because if they dont that would explain why there is only reviews upto 4xaa ont he both cards. I did find one review that showed the 6800 ultra at 8 x and the ati's at 6 x aa and it wasn't a fair comparison at aa levels

ok the low down
NV40 can do AA in modes of 2X, 4X, and 8X (which really is a mixed mode of MSAA and SSAA)

R420 can do 2X, 4X and 6X

ok. Well it seems then that the x800 xt pe is really not as good as the 6800 ultra going of the basis of most reviews and the nvidia still needs to get out some really good drivers for their brand new architecture. The advantage that ati have though is that because they using old architecture they have got very highly optimised drivers for it and that is where the nvidia need to brush up on. I think in a few months we will see the true 6800 ultra.

In addition to these, there are other, hidden modes than can only be exposed via a tweaker such as RivaTuner or aTuner. Unfortunately most of those hidden modes can only be used for Direct3D, but they do include 4xS (arguably the best quality mode offered by NVIDIA, better than all ATI modes but at a huge performance cost) as well as three different supersampling options. It gives you a lot to play with, and that's certainly a good thing.

Mesce : GEIL Ram's work perfectly with my AthlonXP 2800@2.2ghz! The modules I have are the Value DDR 400 ones. They are conservatively time at 2.5 CL and 3-3-6 .I have an Abit NF7-S V2.0 mobo which probably is why the RAM is stable. Rage has had no problem with his setup as well and he is using an AMD platform

Manchester eh Mesce?
