Btw, they are busy closing all the threads that bash ATI someway, as you may have noticed the filtering tricks issues heated up....
this thread still isn't about rage3d, and if you are gunna say something like that, care to point to one of those threads? The filtering issue is a lively topic for debte, and idiots there will get threads closed the same way idiots here will, saying stupid stuff. Lets not make this about nvnews vs rage3d.. Are we gunna talk 6800s, or are we gunna start a flameware about rage3d, making this thread as lame as any of those threads pointed out. While noobs will only join the forum of the card that worship (for the next 3 weeks till something changes) most knowledgable people are members of a number of forums, and if you are gunna call all of rage3d stupid, you are calling a fair bit of the nvnews membership stupid too.. This is all too silly.

As P4 2.2 is really the bottleneck there, Sgt_Pitt's scores not bad at all.

Pretty good mem clock indeed.
Not bad out of the box. I think the guy who made it over 17k "only" managed 1250 MHz with a modded card.

Have fun with your new toy.

Dynamic Overclocking

Normal Edition

425 MHz Dynamic, 550 MHz Memory Extreme Edition

450 MHz Core, 600 MHz Memory

Dynamic Overclocking is a new and ingenious method for maximizing the performance of your 6800 Ultra graphics card.

By analyzing various parameters of your computer system, the card will determine the maximum safe overclockable speed that it can operate at and dynamically set itself to that speed. As your system configuration (based on system load, etc.) changes, the card will automatically scale itself up or down as it feels capable.

In most cases, this will result in a core clock speed of 425MHz, however in some cases where the overall computer system is optimal, you can see speeds of up to 440 MHz in 3D. Dynamic Overclocking only applies to the core GPU speed, and has no impact on the memory speed.

In order to maximize your overclocking capability, you need to make sure that your system is correctly cooled, and that you attach 2 separate power connectors from your computer’s power supply to the 6800 Ultra. These power leads should have no other devices chained to them in order to provide for the best possible effect.

Finally, a way to ensure safe and sure overclocking without any headache or fuss – and it all comes standard!

Is the Dynamic Overclock feature exclusive to only eVGA? Or will other companies have something similar to this?

But, yeah, good job jakup. Hopefully they'll start hitting Virginia sometime soon...
