After some testing, I've found that the OpenGL tab is no longer fully functional in the 65 series drivers. For this and other reasons (such as 6800 owners who install Coolbits without reading this thread), my next version of Coolbits is going to default to the new style Performance & Quality Settings page.

The reason you can't turn the optimizations ON is probably because you have the driver set to High Quality. High Quality forces the optimizations OFF.

Cool thanks man. Hey quick question though. I noticed that my Doom 3 scores went down around 7 fps. I noticed that my frames seem caped at 43fps most of the time, fluctuations are rare although they do reach 60+, but its rather short lived. Does anyone here have a similar issue?

I get approx 30 FPS on average on the Doom3 timedemo demo1. I keep game settings on Ultra, 4xAA/8xAF, everything on including Vsync. Driver settings on default (Quality) and overclocked with Coolbits.

Well I have mine at 1600x1200 2xaa/8xaf and was getting 50.1fps and now it dropped to 42/41ish. I'm thinking about going back to 61.77s.

Is there any way to enable the low power 3d mode with coolbits2? Rivatuner keeps locking up my system, so I can't use it to set it...

That has already been discussed in this thread. Somewhere on page 2 I think.

Not sure I understand. Low power 3d is already enabled in the video bios/driver. You don't need Coolbits or Rivatuner for that. Unless you mean changing its value? If so then the answer is no. There is no tab to adjust the Low power 3d mode in the driver itself. If RivaTuner locks your card up, consider modding the bios and/or increasing Level 1 voltage.

Great little tool, Thanks to everyone involved. I seem to have a crazy problem with video card it seems. Chaintech Ti 4200-8X (A-GX20) 128DDR. System is Gigabyte GA-7VAX1394, AMD 2400XP (oc 142MHz). Have been testing at aquamark started with 16FPS got it up to 24FPS

http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...run=1153817732

Big problem is cannot turn up core clock or memory clock without test freezing up. And looking at similar systems seems like this card should go on up. Have been fighting this for days can somebody help me figure this out.

AA - Off, AF - Off, Image settings - HP, Color Profile - NA, Verticle Sync - Off, Force Mipmap - None, Conformant Texture Clamp - Off, Ext limit - Off, Hard Accel - Single Display Mode, Max Frames Ahead - 3, Gama 1.16, Fast Writes - Off, Driver 6.14.10.6562. MOBO BIOs voltages set to auto CPU Freq set at 142.

I know I must be doing something wrong, posted at two other boards hope someone here has a suggestion. Thank You

Default Auto-detect is not present

In the Clock Frequency control page I do not have the option of Detect Optimal Frequencies.

I am running an Asus V9950 (5900u) w/ 61.77 drivers.

Any way to fix this?
