It should work on any OTES cooling system that is designed for the fan turning off in 2D mode.

I am having the same problems with any forceware 6x.xx and above. Still seems to be some bugs on the overclocking page Some people have told me that this problem goes away after they flash the card back with its original BIOS.

Maybe I missed something. I have your Coolbits2 installed. Thank you for that.

However, I am having to set Auto Overclock manually after every reboot. Any way to correct that or have I overlooked this somehow?

Thanks in advance...

Thanks for reminding me of this..I'd also noticed this a few days ago but forgot about it.

Are you referring to the flashed card won't hold it's OC no matter what?
If so, then what you heard is true. I flashed my 5900nu back, from a 5950u, then could hold an OC greater than a 5950u. It wouldn't while flashed.

Exactly. Luckily I got around this issue simply by using RivaTuner to check the boxes. However there is no option for Auto OC yet in this tool, so unfortunately I know of no way to fix you guy's auto o/c'ing issue (other than using older driver). You can expect a new revision of RivaTuner by Unwinder, next monday. Perhaps he will have something to help you on that.

yeah my bud has a 5700u and didn't have this problem with the boxes not staying checked. Very odd, as we were both using the same drivers. So just for testing, I went back to an older driver (53.13) and now coolbits & overclocking page works perfect (although there is no auto o/c setting back then).

This issue definitely seems to be a driver bug, that only occurs on some systems and not all ?

I do not have side band addressing in the OS meaning it says NO.

So should it be Yes and if so what do I need to change ?
Thanks in advance

I would say enable it for higher performance. You can enable side band addressing through your system BIOS and/or by coolbits tweak (on the AGP settings page).

Okay, would I gain anything by using Coolbits 2 with the 61.71's? I am using the regular Coolbits at the moment.

I've used it on every driver from 44.03 + and it works great. But of course you will get the most benefit from Coolbits 2 by using the the newest available drivers (i.e. 61.71). As this will always be the case. Older drivers didn't have nearly as many menus on the nv control panel.

The only issue I have come across with CoolBits 2, is on older drivers (pre 55.xx) and nwiz.exe. As I mentioned earlier in this thread it can create an error at startup. nwiz can be disabled from startup, though, thru the msconfig utility with no problems what so ever.
