Default Re: Low FPS in Americas Army

Your reported fps sounds very similar to mine.. I however am running a GeForce 4 ti4400 and should see ridiculously inferior performance in comparison. My brother's 5600 FX outperforms mine (in AAOps) nearly double but there are other factors (his cpu / ram). I have a P4 2.0a proc so that is similar to yours.

Two things you haven't mentioned, what are your sound settings, and video settings?

With hardware sound, 64 channels, 1600x1200 with UltraHigh all settings and triple buffering / filtering (basically crank up everything) I flux between 12 - 20 fps on the firing range.

Another command came to me:
$ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
display: :0  screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
server glx version string: 1.3
server glx extensions:
... etc. You want to see direct rendering. About time you posted your XF86Config & X.log. Btw I don't play AA, maybe I should sometime. But I get ~60 fps in ut2k4 @ 800x600 FSAA level 6.
