Default Drivers for standard 2.6.6 kernel with 4k stack

All the precompiled kernels from the fedora update site now have the 4k kernel stacks. When will there be a new driver that supports this?

The normal driver should support this but you will need to build it against the source code.

blueworm? I have heard no reports of the current driver operating on x86 with 4K stacks...

nVIDIA has reported that the new driver will support them but it is not available yet -- there is no official word on when it will be done. For now, do not build your kernel using 4K stacks.

I love the current driver but NVidia is really lagging about these 4k stacks :-(

I agree, Cartman. I also hope that a new driver will include a nice control panel utility like the older drivers .

Be patient. I have been assured by Nvidia that they are working on it.

You can get a precompiled FC2 Kernel with 8k-stack here:
http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader...ernel-i686.php

With this Kernel installed, the Standard Nvidia installer will do the job!

Dieter
