I wouldn't be at all surprised if a new bios fixed yer probs, we're having the same issues on the S754 side. Gotta love fresh silicon

This story just keeps getting worse!

I decided to reseat my heatsink, because my temps were not that great, and overtightend and 'nut' part of the backplate broke off. : (

I have a spare orded but ill be down for a bit on that computer.

Buddy you know what I do when I'm having a string of bad luck w/ my pc? I take a break for a while & find something else to do. It helps to clear yer mind and concentrate on other things.

Keep us posted when yer replacement stuff comes in though

jesus over 800 bucks for a CPU and it may have a fault memory controller? That's just terrible.

Did you have any luck with the hacked BIOS?

Also, forgive me for being naive but why not just leave the voltage a little higher. It was working ok like that wasn't it?

Damn, between you and JuiceZ I really want an A64 now for my UT2k4

I'm still turning AA/AF up to "slow" it down, heh.

Actually, after the hacked bios i ran memtest86 for 11 min and got no errors, pre bios id run it for like 30 sec and errors would appear, so i hope it may be fixed.

I just got my Mobo back today. I installed the swiftech and everything is working fine! Then i installed the hacked bios!

I ran memtest86 at 2-2-2-5 and it went to the 100% mark and passed every bit of it!

So then i moved onto OCing my FX, so far ive only used 3dmark03 as the test to see if its stable, and i could not get it to compelte the test untill i upped the voltage to 1.65, do you guys think this is to high of a voltage? Stock seems to be 1.45

But basicly its running 3dmark03 fine at 13x200 (2.6ghz) ram 2-2-2-5 timeings.

It never seems to go above 51c with my swiftec : )

What do you guys think about it? Should i run it at stock or keep the OC goin?

Also on a unrelated note, i preorded a BFG 6800 ultra OC!
