Which drivers do I need?

Hi sorry for a silly (dumb) question....
But I installed a new motherboard and I tried to install the
"Linux IA32 1.0-5336" video drivers which I was using before, but when I installed it everything was really slow, then I noticed the new "nForce chipset" drivers but when I installed the Linux "IA32 Drivers1.0-0274" (rpm -i NVIDIA bla bla) "NVIDIA_nforce-1.0-0274.mdk92up_2.4.22_10.athlon.rpm" (Mandrake 2 specific" rebooted nothing seemed to change?
Even though these are an ".rpm" do I still have to edit the XF86Config-4 file?

I have a Gigabyte GA-7N400-L M/B with a Athlon XP 2200+ processor.. (nForce2 chipset)

I have a Riva TNT2 Model 64 video card with 64mg memory..

The driver you installed first (this one) is what you should be using. The nForce drivers are not for video.. however if you want to use them that is fine.. just deal with that separately (they do network and sound chip support). They also contain the GART patch, but if you're using the NvAGP support rather than AGPGART it should be fine without it.. I think (I don't have an nForce board).

Most likely it was slow because something was misconfigured. Give the above driver another shot and if it doesn't work (read the readme..) come back with an installer log, X config file, and X startup log attached and peeps here will be delighted to help you work it out.

I reinstalled the "5336" video drivers all fine.
