Default Help! My computer is overheating!

Hello, if you live in the north east you know it got hot & my computer doesnt like it at all.

I just bought the Thermaltake SILENT BOOST Highest Performance Cooler for AMD AthlonXP up to 3400+ -RETAIL for 34 bucks at newegg thinking it would solve my cpu heating issues.

I got it yesterday & my stock fan was running idle at 54c and motherbooard was running at 40c. The silent boot atm is running the same as my stock fan is.

My room dont get coverd by the ac in the house it cools downstaires nice but it doesnt reach my room.

Any ideas?

Those temps don't sound all that awful to me. Sure, cooler would be better but you're not in any danger zone IMO.
