Hey everyone, I have an fx5200 running on a gentoo linux system and for some reason my screen flickers black momentarily and then returns to normal at random times. I modified the xf86config file to load the nv driver instead of nvidia, and that stopped the flickering, however the card works accelerated in windows (leading me to believe that its not the hardware thats the problem). I have already uninstalled and reinstalled X and the nvidia drivers, and i have tried different versions of each with no success. I am stumped, does anyone have any ideas?
