Zalman 7000cu - work w/s939?
Will a Zalman 7000cu heatsink/fan that I have working with my PC right now (3.0c P4) mate properly with a 3500+ socket939 CPU?

it should... has its own little backplate afaik and plugs in nicely...
I doubt the actual retention mechanism would be much different than with socket 754/940... do you have the adapter? |

If it came with it I think I have it still. Either way, I've discussed it with my wife. I'm selling my P4 3.0c w/D875 and ordering an FX53 w/A8V. They fixed the agp/pci lock in a BIOS that just came out, so with the favorable reviews I've read I'm sold now.
Can you think of any reason not to get the FX53, short of cost? Are they going to introduce an FX55 right around the corner? |
