I'd also got lockups, but only on games like Tuxracer, Enemy Teretory, Q3, Pinball, UT 2003/4.
The only Game that works fine is Unreal Tournament Clasic.

EDIT: Ok, I'd buy a new Grafik Adapter, a simple one with a FX5600XT Chipset, and my problems went away, no Idea what and why.
Still

can you try running /usr/bin/nvidia-bug-report.sh to generate a bug report and send it to <linux-bugs@nvidia.com>?

edit: doh, I see you already did that..

How can I get swsusp working with this new driver?

echo -n 4 > /proc/acpi/sleep

stops with message:

NVRM: unknown acpi event: 4

Thumbs up Re: 1.0-6106 for X86-32 thread

Man these drivers are fast, way better than the 5336, Tribes 2, Quake3, UT2004 are all much smoother. Very nice control panel with all the settings, even digial vibrance.

Great job

Default AGP no-go in FC2

Hi,

The drivers do indeed work with 4kstacks, but AGP no longer works, neither agpgart nor nVIDIAs internal AGP. I use the 2.6.6-1.435 kernel custom compiled with and without agpgart to test the internal nvidia AGP driver.

Result w/agpgart:
AGP fails to initialize => disabled

Result w/NvAGP "1" (agpgart NOT enabled/loaded):
Machine hang during X bootup, Xorg log file unusable

Chipset: Intel 815
GFX card: Asus GeForce2 MX 400

I am really disappointed, I thought I had pretty vanilla and old hardware, and have never had any kind of AGP problems before. Performance truly sucks without AGP, both 2D and 3D.

*sigh* back to the good-old nv-driver; fast 2D, has never failed me yet.

Just loaded the new 61.06 drivers .......

# nvidia-installer --uninstall
#sh NVI .. blah,blah,blah .run
..
..
Install went clean as a whistle, but when starting UT2004 10 seconds later, the following error appears

"GL_EXT_bgra not supported - bailing out."

I know from research that this error is supposed to be Mesa related, (thanks Icculus), but why didnt it show up with the previous drivers??

Has anyone else seen this with the new drivers??

Gentoo : Kernel 2.6.7 -r1
Ti4280 (8x AGP)
