I'm very pleased with the new driver, however after I use nvidia-settings the first time, if I try to run it again it crashes my X server. If I remove .nvidia-settings-rc, the panel starts again.
I'm with the lastest fc2 kernel recompiled with all the p4 optflags.
If I use the same kernel but recompiled w/o 4kb stack, the problems goes away.
Also recompiling nv-settings from sorce didn't help.

HI!

If I set "Flicker Filter" to 0, I loose every other line. Especially text looks ugly then. Why is this?

I am using TV-out only. I am trying to play interlaced video files as it is, so I do not want any filtering.

This is my modeline:
ModeLine "800x600x50" 33.1584 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628

Thanks!

Thomas

Default Few feature requests :)

I want to see nvidia-settings gettextized, so I (and other ppl) can make messages translations for your great proggie. Maybe you should also autotoolize them?

And BTW, I don't think there's need to ask user if he/she really wants to quit.

And your program should have a GNOME/KDE menu entry. I wrote a simple .desktop file for Debian+GNOME and included an icon from nVidia desktop icon theme for Windoze (is that okay?), but I think you should provide your own .desktop and icon.

Also, as others alreasy said, we need to easily configure twinview, SBA, fastwrites and other stuff.

Sorry for my english

The display panel is extremely convinient, especialy for a new-comer to Linux as myself . I noticed though that it does not have configuration for Stereo support. If these are included as well (for supported cards) it would be much easier to get stereo to work.

But the UI is much helpful even otherwise.

Thank you,

Shailesh

Once again, Thank You Nvidia.
The Linux drivers are simple to install and offer a
wealth of features. You guys freaking rock, and so do your cards.
Keep up the great work, and Thanks Again !

Default NVIDIA-Settings Icon

An icon for the nvidia-settings app, so you can put it on your desktop or panels.
OBS: The icon is attached to this post.

Under what license your icon is distributed?

GEE... I don't know. The logo belongs to NVIDIA, so I do not have any rights over it.

I just did the icon for my personal use. And later I thought more people would like to have some NVIDIA icon on their desktop, so I posted it. That's it. Use it if you like, or do your own.

I claim no ownership, rights, or anything else over the icon in question.

I was thinking about inclusion of the icon in Debian.
